  A Legacy of Generosity   Minimize

The partners of EnRisk not only strive to conduct their business with honesty and integrity, they also desire to leave a legacy in the world around them.  For the past two years, EnRisk has donated to two worthwhile organizations in honor of their clients during the Holiday Season.  Those organizations are Child Advocates, Inc., in Houston, Texas, and Happy Hill Farm Academy/ Home in Granbury, Texas.

The mission of Child Advocates, Inc.  is to mobilize court appointed volunteers to break the vicious cycle of child abuse.  they speak up for abused children who are lost in the system and guide them into safe environments where they can thrive. Their website is www.childadvocates.com.

Happy Hill Farm's fundamental belief is that each human being is created in the image of God.  That belief provides the strong spiritual underpinning for the mission of Happy Hill Farm Academy/ Home to serve children in crisis and to strengthen families.  Socially and academically disadvantaged boys and girls - regardless of their religion, race, national origin, or gender -- are given the opportunity to live, work, and study in a year-round, residential school/ farm setting.  A balance is taught between the spiritual, academic, and practical in order for the students to prepare themselves effectively to assume their role in society as productive citizens while engaged in their chosen professions.  To visit their website go to www.HappyHillFarm.org.

The leadership of EnRisk is dedicated to having a positive impact on their clients lives', the lives of their employees, and the lives of the those in the community.

A Gift Given to Continue the Compassion for Others   Minimize

The kindness and generosity set by the EnRisk partners in donating to these two charities has, yet again, been an example for the employees to strive towards.  It demonstrates our commitment to helping others.

So in that tradition, in December 2006, the employees of EnRisk, followed the partners' lead and adopted the WFAA Santa's Helpers Toy drive as their gift to honor the EnRisk partners.  The employees collected $300 and 30 toys.  Through the Santa's Helpers toy drive over 35 community service organizations throughout the Dallas/ Fort Worth area are able to distribute toys to needy children.

  The Legacy Continues   Minimize

In December 2007, the EnRisk employees wanted to honor the EnRisk Partners by giving to those in need, and following the EnRisk legacy of giving.  They collected and delivered items from the Cook Children's Hospital Holiday Wish List ( Cook Children's is a local children's hospital in Fort Worth).  The items collected included toys,  games, underwear for the children and parents, books, soothing music and videos to take their minds off their illness, and items to provide emergency aid to families in need.

The Cook Children's Hospital Website and Wish List can be found at their website at www.cookchildrens.org.

In December, 2008 as in years previous, the employees repeated the practice of giving to others and donated to the SafeHaven of Tarrant County.  In 2008, SHTC sheltered over 2,700 adult and child victims and provided non-residential services through our Resource Centers to more than 3,900 other clients seeking emotional, legal and practical support to move from “victim” to “survivor”. Staff and volunteers answered more than 41,000 hotline calls in 2008 total, an 81 percent increase over the previous year. In addition to protecting victims and creating multiple opportunities to achieve independence and self-sufficiency, SHTC focuses on prevention by educating approximately 60,000 individuals annually. The majority of these are students who learn warning signs of abusive relationships, healthy signs of productive relationships and how to locate resources.

December, 2009 to continue the strong tradition of giving the employees made a donation in honor of the EnRisk partners to the Alliance for Children organization.  Imagine a little girl who has witnessed the brutal murder of her brother……by the hands of her parents.  Now imagine a detective having to question her as the only witness. Now the little girl must live with extended family who never planned on feeding, clothing and sheltering another child.  The Alliance For Children assist abused children, their families, and the community.
